Kanaeru ("KanaKana かなカナ") is a Japanese typing practice and language learning app developed by an independent developer ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Account Information — When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your display name, email address, and profile picture from the authentication provider. We use Supabase as our authentication backend to securely manage your account.
Game & Learning Data — We store your game scores, game session history, learning progress, and login streak to provide personalized features and leaderboards.
Social Features Data — If you use social features, we store your friend code, friend list, group memberships, and leaderboard rankings.
User Preferences — Your app settings (such as language preference and game settings) are synced to the cloud so you can access them across devices.
Crash & Error Reports — We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs to improve app stability. These reports may include device model, OS version, and technical error details. They do not include personal information such as your name or email.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not display advertisements in the app.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. The app follows a local-first approach: core features work offline, and data is synced when a connection is available. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your data within 30 days.
Our app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
